There's been no lack of speculation recently as to the status of WVU signee David Nyarsuk, the 7-foot, 220-pound center from Mountain State Academy in Beckley. Today, EerSports.com brings subscribers the latest.
If Vinny Zollo sounds like a polished young man who’s endured the spotlight and seen every angle of the recruiting process -- and indeed, he does – it’s because he has. Zollo, a 6-foot-9 post player, committed to Kentucky and then-coach Billy Gillispie as a high school freshman. Now Zollo is looking to make his second and final commitment, and West Virginia is among the schools he’s most seriously considering.
Bay Shore, N.Y. forward Jordan Allen has multiple ties to the West Virginia basketball program, but none speak greater than his admitted admiration for head coach Bob Huggins. “It’s probably just him,” said Allen, a 6-foot-6, 190-pound class of 2011 recruit. “I idolize him as a coach. He’s a hall of famer. You could only get something good while you’re being coached by a hall of famer.
At times while speaking with coach Huggins during his official visit to West Virginia Sunday through Monday, Kyle Cain had to tell himself to slow down. He’d promised himself he wouldn’t commit while on a visit and would instead wait until he was sure he’d finished visiting schools of interest before deciding, but he was having a hard time keeping the words from coming out.
