Warren (Ohio) Harding teammates, linebacker Davion Rogers and defensive back/linebacker Mike Dorsey, both committed to West Virginia right after the Mountaineers’ spring game. However, the Spartans are still recruiting both, and the two are likely to make official visits to Michigan State.

“Michigan State is coming at us,” Rogers said. “They are looking at both of us. They want both of us to make official visits. We probably will. Most likely we’ll visit there.”

The 6-foot-6 and 200-pound Rogers played outside linebacker his senior season. In eight games he made 55 tackles including eight sacks. Rogers intercepted a pass and recovered five fumbles.

The 6-foot-2 and 205-pound Dorsey played strong safety this season. He made close to 60 tackles.

Rogers maintains both he and Dorsey are still committed to West Virginia. However, he would not rule out a switch to Michigan State.

“I’m thinking about visiting Michigan State just to see it,” Rogers said. “But I couldn’t give you a date (to visit) yet. Coach (Pat) Narduzzi is recruiting us.”

Dorsey is on track to qualify academically with his current GPA and tests score while Rogers continues to work on his academic situation. He recently took the ACT again and is waiting on his score.
